My wing man in Anatomy and Physiology and Chemistry in Room 501 at Canon Mac in eleventh grade...RIP brother!
Most of my memories of Mark are of the two of us running up Morehead on Saturday mornings, chasing our faster(SLIGHTLY!) wives as we approached our usual finish line on MLK Blvd. I was always a little cranky and/or tired by that point and Mark was always upbeat in a low key way that helped me a lot. I will remember his funny banter with Kathy that was witty, but never mean. You could always tell how much they loved being together, even when together was a few hundred yards apart, haha. I’ve missed having Mark on our runs for a while now, and I don’t expect that will change.
Sending all my love to the Belfiore family. Mark Belfiore will be missed so much. I became best friends with his daughter Brittany at the age of 14. From then I spent most days at their home making wonderful memories with Mark and the family. Mark was always up for some time out on the lake when we were kids or busy playing jokes on Bradley, Brittany and I. He was always making us laugh. I will keep those happy memories forever.
It was very sad to watch my best friend of over 30 years pass away. I was thankful to be there to support Kathy and the kids. Mark was my best friend. We spent our first 10 years of our, over 30 years, friendship as wrestling coaches in the Blackhawk ISD wrestling program. Mark was more than a wresting coach. Marks walk as a Christian man was a soft walk. Galatians 5: 22-23 Apostle Paul talks of the “Fruits of the Spirit”. This is how Christ wants us to represent his walk. I truly believe that Mark replicated this as much as anyone. This is Marks legacy to us all. Marks was loved by all who came into his life’s path. Please we all need to carry on his legacy. I’m sad your gone from this earth. I also rejoice that you’re in heaven and we will be together again. I’m sad if your death, but I think of our times together and smile. Rest in Peace. Love you brother.
Mark was our neighbor of 20 years. We have fond memories of him working in his own backyard and at times ours(!), his gentleness and just how awesome he was. He was always a support to us and always someone we loved calling our neighbor and friend. We will cherish our memories of you and may your memory be a blessing for Kathy and the children.
Although I only knew Mark for a short time at the end of his journey he has made such an impact on my heart. His smiles, his gentleness and sometimes his frustration were such a blessing each day I was able to care for him. I will miss taking walks in the courtyard, throwing rocks and sharing snacks. Sending all my love to Kathy, Brittney and Bradley.
