Marta Obregon's Obituary
Marta Obregon, 69, of Huntersville, NC, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022. She was a native of Mexico City but lived her life also in Toronto, Canada, Waterbury CN, Torreon Mexico, Monterrey Mexico, Mission, TX before finally moving to Huntersville NC.
She was a dedicated member at Saint Mark Catholic Church and very active in various groups and movements. Aside from graduating with a major in sociology at Iberoamericana Mexico City in 1972, she was an extremely dedicated teacher. Her earlier years consisted of lots of traveling and cultural enrichment, she spoke Spanish, English and French fluently. As the years unrolled she dedicated her life to being a mother and homeschool teacher. Her final chapters in life were dedicated to prayer and serving as a beloved church member and follower of Christ. She preceded in death by her father, Oscar Alfredo Aguilar Gálvez and her mother, Marta González Morales. Mrs. Obregon has left behind her husband of 49 years Manuel Obregon Villegas , three sons Manuel, Rodrigo and Estuardo Obregon as well as four grandchildren ; Ana Sofia , Mariana, Manuel and Charlotte Obregon.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00pm Thursday, November 17 at Saint Mark Catholic Church in Huntersville. The Mass will be broadcast live on the webpage of St Mark here https://www.stmarknc.org/livestream#MassSchedule
