Mrs. Mary Frances Ramaikas R.N. (McCourt) of Huntersville, N.C. passed away Saturday January 14, 2023. Mary received her Nursing Degree and was a proud graduate of SUNY Farmingdale College in 1976. Mary most recently served as As Read Obituary
Mary was a great human being, very honest with a good sense of humor. Being good friends with her son Mike, I spent many afternoons and weekends at their Long Island home in my 20's. My wife Eileen also had the pleasure of knowing her before and after we were married. Mike was in my wedding party and Mary and Al attended as guests.
She will be missed, and in our thoughts and hearts.

Mary the mother of my friend her son Michael, was a wonderful person who devoted her long career in nursing to the welfare and care of so many people. I had the privilege of meeting her one time while she was visiting Michael in Raleigh. She was such a sweet Mom who loved her son Michael dearly. Her passing is a great loss to all who knew her. My condolences and prayers to the family during this time of sorrow.

My wife and I were so deeply saddened to learn of Mary's passing. I had the great privilege to work with her during her many years of devoted nursing service in South Florida. During that time, I witnessed firsthand as she offered skilled care and unyielding compassion to all- residents, their family, and staff alike. She embodied the highest professional standard of nursing and elevated all by her example. Mary was genuinely loved, respected and appreciated for the friend she was to everyone. Mary was my dear friend since 1950. We were at St. Francis Sanitarium now called St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center for 2 years in a building called Our Lady's. St. Francis saved our life. We became good friends and as time went on we both married she lived in Long Island & I lived in NYC. Mary was God-mother to my Daughter. All these years we kept in touch by phone at least once a month. Unfortunately we only got together about 8 times. When we called it was at least an hour catching up. Mary lived for her family and nursing. She was a Dear friend and will always be in my prayers and greatly missed. Rest in Peace my Dear Friend. Barbara Tucker

Mary will be missed on this earth but now God has her in his arms. No more pain and out in her own. She is smiling. She was the best friend and mother figure I ever knew. We would talk for hours and go for lunch and dinner at least once a week if not more. She was the best nurse and the most talented manager with everyone. God has her in his home now. Prayers for her family left behind
