Matthew David Thrower's Obituary
Matthew “Matt” Thrower, 35, of Salisbury, NC, left this world suddenly to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
Born on March 16, 1990, in Davidson, NC, he was the son of Mark & Cindy Thrower.
Also surviving is his Grandpa, Raymond Thrower, Sr. Uncle, Paul Sims Jr., Uncle Ray & Aunt Valerie Thrower, cousins, Lexi Sims Martin (Mike), Heather Leach (Adam), Nicole Clumpner (Mike).
He was preceded in death by his grandparents-Doris Thrower, Paul & Carol Sims.
He attended First Assembly Christian School in Concord, NC. He was a graduate of UNCC-Charlotte with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Throughout his college days his hard work and determination gave him the enjoyment of always making the Dean’s List. He began shortly after graduating working for RK&K as a dedicated, hardworking employee for 11 years. He was an Inspector Three. He would oversee and inspect construction on new bridges, roads and highways and also oversee repairs on these as well.
In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, beach trips, fishing and his cats.
A graveside funeral service will be held at the Mimosa Cemetery on Saturday, August 16 at 3 PM, located at 626 South Street, Davidson, NC. Please wear casual attire.
