I have had a hard time putting my words together and hope that this is not too long. My late husband of 52 years, Tommy and I were high school friends and classmates of Max and Dianne and Dianne was my best friend. Dianne moved to North Caroline after her first marriage. Max and Tommy both served in the military during the Vietnam years and we all lost touch for awhile. Later we were friends with Max and his wife Sue and Max and Tommy were in the Tampa Breakfast Sertoma Club together and worked on many projects serving the Tampa Community. After Sue passed away, we were so happy that Max and Dianne got acquainted at one of our class reunions. Tommy was best man and I maid of honor at their beautiful wedding in Asheville in January 2011. I can't find the words to express my sorrow over Max's passing. He was intelligent, kind and a good and caring forever friend. I have such fond memories of his soaring spirit and our many animated conversations about anything and everything. We used to laugh and say that Tommy and Max could either rise or sink to the occasion...depending on the occasion. Dianne, please take comfort in the love of your family and friends. May Max's spirit be at peace and joyfully reside with Tommy and all your angel family that will now and forever guard over you. I send many loving thoughts, my deepest sympathy and many prayers to you and your family and friends. Mary
