So very sorry to hear the passing of Pam. Heartfelt prayers of comfort for Billy and the rest of her loved ones.
Billy, Sheila, Butch, Steve and boys, I am so very sorry for your loss. Pam and I grew up Together. We rode Dapples, King, Queenie and Flicker all over Cornelius, up-and-down Washam Potts through the woods over to Bailey from daylight to dark many summer days. We would stop at the 50-50 grocery and get candy and sodas, and up to the ball park behind McCoy service station for ball games. Pam and I spent many days riding our ponies all over! She was fearless, she was tough and she was a good person! Hearing that Pam had gone on saddens me but I do know I am so very grateful I had the privilege of being her friend when we were young and free!! Ride free Pam! You are an inspiration to all the cowboys and cowgirls!
sending thoughts and prayers...
I share so many memories with all the Brothertons but most with Pam. I've loved Pam most of my life...knowing her as a warm, loving, good friend and she never met a stranger. I spent many a happy day riding with Pam...me on King and her on Dapples, because Dapples wouldn't listen to me, only Pam. I still think fondly of Betty and Tommy and the fun we had. I remember me & Pam riding in Betty's convertible...just to be riding. I could spend days typing about great memories...even our silly games prentending to be horses when we couldn't ride...Tommy once told Pam, you can't sit a horse 24 hours a day, every day! I think she would have. My prayers and love go out to Billy and the boys and to those wonderful Brothertons I have loved so well.
My sympathy to all the Bumgarner family. May happy memories bring you comfort. Rosie Smith Chapman
