Pamela Bumgarner's Obituary
Pamela (Pam) Bumgarner, 70, of Statesville, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Wednesday, February 7th, 2024 from ovarian cancer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Tommy Brotherton.
Mrs. Bumgarner is survived by her husband of 52 years, Billy Bumgarner, and two sons Billy Bumgarner Jr. (Christie) of Mint Hill and Chad Bumgarner of the home; sister, Sheila Kerr; brothers Steve (Jane) Brotherton and Butch (Mimi) Brotherton.
Pam was a native of Cornelius, NC and spent most of her time on the back of a horse. She Rodeoed for over 30 years and during that time was an 8-time barrel racing champion. Her love for the outdoors and animals shown through in all that she did.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 10 at Mount Zion United Methodist Church Community Cemetery in Cornelius, NC.
