I’ll never forget the first time I met Pat, her kindness was immediate, and her smile radiated pure joy. What stood out most was how deeply she cared for everyone. Every time I saw her, she would ask me, “What’s new?!” and she meant it. She wanted to know everything about my life, school, work, and more as if she were my very own grandmother.
Some of my favorite memories are of sitting with her over coffee while the first hour of my mom’s workday slipped by, just the two of us talking. Pat and I could talk about anything and I’d never ever get tired of it. It took a real effort from my mom to get me to stop and go and help her, but every time I’d pass back that table Pat would steal me for a few more minutes to chit chat. I always looked forward to those moments and I think a lot about it and how rare you find that. Pat was honestly one of the brightest, most intelligent, and most caring people I have ever met.
I feel truly blessed that God placed her in my life. And to Pat, I love you, my beautiful friend. I will never take for granted the moments we shared, and I will carry your memory with me always. You touched my life and so many others more than you could ever imagine. Today and everyday, we celebrate you❤️
