Patricia "Patty" Reynolds' Obituary
Patricia "Patty" Pate Reynolds, 64 of Huntersville died May 7, 2020 at her home. She was born on January 31, 1956 in Greensboro to Joann Frazier and the late Willie Pate, Jr.
Patty graduated from Walter Hines Page High School in Greensboro, NC and Greensboro College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She started her career as a Paralegal in Greensboro before becoming a Police Officer with the City of High Point. Continuing her career, she worked with several Insurance companies including Integon in Winston Salem NC and ALFA Alliance Insurance Company of Alabama where she retired from Special Investigations in August 2019.
Patty was active with the North Carolina Insurance Crime Information Exchange organization and was recently recognized for her contributions and leadership as a member of the Board of Directors. As an active member of NICIE for over ten years Patty contributed to the learning and development of others through sharing her passion and knowledge of special investigation operatives in the classroom and in the field.
Her musical talents were admired by her personal and church family and friends for many years shared through her voice, Patty was a member of her church choirs and loved sharing her appreciation of country music with everyone. The beach was her favorite spot in the summer time ensuring her family had time to relax. Her special place was her beloved back porch where she was often found with a glass of sweet tea. An avid gardener, she expressed her love of nature and God through her gift of designing beautiful home gardens. Her home was always open and welcoming to whoever visited and everyone was going to be fed like family in both body and soul. She was a fierce fighter of right and wrong, absolutely devoted wife, mother, Mimi, daughter, sister, coworker and best friend. If Patty was in your life you were blessed.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband Bob Reynolds; son, Dalton and wife Lindsay of Huntersville; daughter, Courtney Hill and husband Joe of New Bern, NC; sister, Leigh Thomas; and granddaughter Ayda Reynolds.
Memorials may be made to Levine's Cancer Institute, Hospice and Palliative Care of Charlotte Region.
A celebration of her life will be held on May 30, 2020 at 2pm located at Huntersville United Methodist Church.
