Paulette Walden's Obituary
Mary Paulette Walden, 77, of Ellenboro, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Born on April 4, 1947, in Charlotte, NC, she was the beloved daughter of the late Paul Kidd and Katherine Hoyle.
Paulette was a proud graduate of North Mecklenburg High School in Huntersville, NC. Throughout her life, she embraced creativity and brought warmth and charisma to everyone around her. A talented seamstress, she crafted many beautiful creations that showcased her artistic spirit. Her professional journey included serving as an international secretary for a prominent law firm, where she left a lasting impact.
Among her many achievements, Paulette was the founder and president of Tar Heel Trail, Inc., a wholesale company, and co-owner of Diamond W. Ranch in Ellenboro, specializing in breaking and training quarter horses. Her legacy of love, creativity, and entrepreneurship will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Laramine Walden. Paulette is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Ken; daughter, Wendy Collier and husband, Matt; sons, Jeff Watts and Justin Walden; grandchildren, Tanner and Karsen; and her half-sister, Beth Rimer, and husband, David.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 12, 2024 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at James Funeral Home. Committal services will be private at Sharon Memorial Park.
