Penny Lloyd Gillespie, 59, of Huntersville fought cancer for 13 years and passed away peacefully Friday, October 19, 2012 at the Harris Hospice Unit at Presbyterian Hospital. She was born on February 7, 1953 in Charlotte, NC. Penn Read Obituary

Penny was a good cousin , friend, mother, wife. She was nice and good to everyone she meet. she will be greatly missed by the people close to her like her family. When she was born she was premature and she was so small she wore a handkerchief as a diaper, they didnt think she would make it, but she did and someone in the family named her little rat, I think it was uncle Roy, he gave all of us nick names. When I went to see her I started crying and she said Lori dont cry I'm not giving up I'm going to fight it.I believed ever word, cause she was my cousin and she always told the truth no matter what. I just cant believe it. Rest In Peace my dear cousin Penny Elizabeth Lloyd Gillispie, one day we will meet again up in heaven.
