Phillip Nelson Christopher's Obituary
Phillip Christopher, 83 of Huntersville, North Carolina passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 4, 2023.
He was born October 23, 1939 in Athens, AL to the late Jackson and Lura Christopher.
Phillip received a full scholarship to play football at Tennessee Technical University graduating in 1962 and went to on to serve in the U.S. Navy. He was an active member of Huntersville United Methodist Church and was very passionate about football, music, golf, the beach, the lake, and most of all his family. Phillip worked for Queens Properties for 30 years retiring as Vice President.
Survivors include his wife Judy of 44 years, daughters Kim Ward (Travis) of Kingsport, TN, Katie Spikes (Jimmy) of Huntersville, NC, and son Vince (Lara) of Denver, NC. In addition he is survived by grandchildren Taylor (Marissa), Jessica (Kyle), Grant (Bailey), Henry, and Anna, as well as great grandchildren Ava, Greigh, Raelynn, and Graham.
Funeral Services will be held at Huntersville United Methodist Church on Thursday, March 9th at 11:00am. The family will receive family and friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Huntersville United Methodist Church, 14005 Stumptown Road, Huntersville, NC 28078 or a charity of your choice.
