All of us, No that's way to small.. The World.. has lost a Great Man. To me..
He was Obi Wan Ka Nobi. Many years ago he took me under his wing as a consultant. I was fortunate to travel the country with Rick. Hey.. we even shared the same cars, dinner tables, cubicle buddies and of course neighbors on assignments. I have meet many fine gentleman in my life, But Rick was in a class by himself, so full grace, knowledge both work & life related and one of the best sense of humor under the sun.
My heart is heavy and my thoughts want to mourn his passing as it should be right now.
But as I write all of this... and Hey Rick I know your reading this somehow, and everyone else please excuse my rambling.
But.. I just know you Rick (you hear me brother) would rather me be celebrating your life instead.
From me and my family and your extended family (they have heard the praises and the stories and the jokes) to your family our hearts are with you.
Ricardo Rest In Peace, you are missed... your Friend and So Very Honored to Say So.
Scott.
I had the opportunity to work with Rick on several projects in Richmond. The one thing I can say He was always quick with a smile and a Joke but always quicker to correct. Always the Gentlemen. Rest in Peace and My Condolences to the Entire Family
I worked with Rick in Charlotte and Richmond, during a couple of consulting assignments. He is a great guy. He will definitely be missed, but not forgotten 🙏😇

Whether the inspirational quotes or scripture verses he sent me on a daily basis, or FaceTime interactions and calls to check on me, provide wise counsel, discuss politics or tell me a funny joke, my life was made better with Rick Lessey in it. It’s been my privilege to experience his friendship. Prayers abound for the family and all of us who will miss him.
I remember him being a kind, warm, funny and encouraging personality. He stayed at our home when he migrated from Panama.
We used to have fun playing together in the house with rubber dart guns.
When he departed for the service, I was saddened.
Few years later, I entered the workforce in the financial district of Wall Street. He worked down the street from One Chase Plaza and we'd meet for lunch vwhen our schedules permitted. He was always fun to be around and I will miss hearing him say "Hey cuz!"
Rest in peace and thanks for being a friend❤️
To the Lessey family, my condolences. Thanks to Aurelio, I was blessed to have
known Rick's acquaintance via our video and speaker phone chats. Rick's sweet and
caring spirit was always evident. His personality, vibrant and warm.
Recently, Rick asked that I light a candle...
I am blessed to have known you Rick! May your light remain, as a guide to
right living, for those you've left behind.
