Lynn passed the sad news to us today. We have such an amazing love for your family. Whisper Ridge Lane was one of the most wonderful places we have ever lived. The closeness of the families was amazing. Richard was the big man on campus always. If anyone ever needed anything, go talk to Richard was the mantra. Please know that even though the Goodman family is so far away, we think of you all often. I don't think Britt would have survived not being able to sneak over to your house as a toddler for his regular cereal breakfast. Those were such wonderful times that we will cherish forever. You are always in our thoughts and prayers, may peace be with you through this difficult time.

I just heard this news. I was shocked and so sad to hear about Richard. He was loved by everyone on Whisper Ridge Lane. The kids loved to joke around with him and come down to your house to see what treats he had. He always welcomed everyone to sit on the porch and hang out. I'll always remember those infamous "Rib Outs" and Richard, the Master Griller. He contributed greatly to so many good mdmories. He will be fondly remembered for the wonderful person he was and his spirit will live on through those memories. You and your family will be in our prayers.

I met Mr. Driscoll once at his son's house and I remember him being very warm and kind. He actually had a cold when we met and was nice enough to tell me and therefore not shake my hand and pass it on. I learned that from him and now do the same. He had a loving Spirit about him. Praying for more and more peace everyday.

It has been a few years since I have seen Dick. It was through St John Neumann Church and the Knights of Columbus (#7343) that I had the pleasure of knowing him. I look back at those days with fond memories.
We will be praying for the family and the repose of his soul.

Having worked with Dick in Charlotte for manyyears before my transfer in1999, I know that the physical world has lost a great spirit, person of high morals, and a great friend.
Howver, I take pleasure in knowing that he is making heaven a happier place just as he made this a happy place and I will see hiim there.
