Dear Ms. Cashner,

We wish we could turn the pain in your heart into joy, or turn back the hands of time...but since we cannot, we will pray for comfort and peace to you in the coming years that you have to go on without your precious parents.

When we learned that you weren't coming back to school this year, we were sad, but understood the enormous difficulties you've been facing. I know your coworkers miss you, not to mention the kids you've touched and grown along the way.

We'll always love you and speak of you as The Best Kindergarten Teacher EVER!! XO

My dearest Shayna, We are so very sorry about your dad's passing. Our hearts break for you. You were such an angel for taking care of your parents as you did. Your dad was such a caring and loving person. And, yes, he had some awesome smiles. They loved you very much. I know not much can be said to comfort the hurt right now, but know our thoughts and prayers are with you. God bless as He's keeping His loving arms around you with comfort. Dear Shayna,
My heart is breaking for you. You have been a wonderful daughter to both your parents and I can't imagine how difficult all this has been. I have such wonderful memories of your dad packing up his car with so much equipment to take you and your friends to Cumberland Island for a camping trip. Your dad made it so much fun for all of you. He clearly loved you.
I hope you will be back in Atlanta when you can get away, so we can all comfort you. Just know that both your parents are in peace and you have two angels praying for you from heaven. You are in my love and prayers.

Shyna, I was so shocked to read Leigh's email about your dad. I just can't imagine what you are going through. After reading about your dad and meeting him a few times, he was an amazing person. I've told you before how he reminded me of my dad. Your memories will last a lifetime and what terrific memories they will be due to your mom & dad being such loving and amazing parents.
