We were blessed to have known Bob for almost 30 years. We shared many a joyous Holiday, vacations and game playing with him and my sister Edith, his beloved wife. He was an amazing cook and made the best gumbo (just like my mother used to make) and spoiled me with his cauliflower dishes which I loved. I hated to see him suffer so much with that ALS and knowing how much he loved to cook and eat broke my heart. Bob, you were an inspiration to all of us that you leave behind. You showed true courage and grace and faith throughout your ordeal here on Earth. We are better people for having known you and been a part of your life too. You will always be missed and remembered. I remember run & jump hugs. I remember bedtime bible stories. I remember bacon & butter sandwiches and omelets. I remember church every Sunday and lunch with Dearie. I remember flying kites, throwing frisbee, & catching fish. I remember feeding the ducks at City Park. I remember the Y-Indian guides. PALS FOREVER. I remember painting trim work together.
I remember you ALWAYS having time for me.
I could spend my entire life trying to live by the example you set as a father and I would always be reaching higher.
We all know you did your best and it was way better than good enough.
I can't possibly express my appreciation and gratitude enough. What comes next is life and renewal. We will surely see you again. A new life has waited for you long enough. The trials of Job will prepare a good man for heaven.
I love you and will live every remaining day I have trying to live by the wonderful example you set.

Just knowing Bob was a Blessing.
He was very dedicated to his Family.
I will always remember him at our Holiday functions .....& his famous Gumbo!

I loved him very much he wasn't just a stepdad he was a friend to me !! anytime I needed him he was always there for us !! I will always remember all the great memories we have of him now we have a true angel watching over us !!!! we love you forever !!

Dear Mom, Matt, Christine, Bobby ,

I just wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss and mine. He is an angel now. He will be a great one, too. He was a great step father even though I don't consider him as my step father he was just my other Dad. I will miss him dearly and will pray to him often for strength and guidance.
