Thank you so much for letting me know about this. Rob was one of the kindest, funniest and most talented people that I have ever known. He was a good friend to me when I needed one. I'm so sorry for your loss!

I have often enjoyed listening to, and sharing with others, Rob’s music aboard my yacht as I have sailed around the world. It has been my pleasure to play his tunes in countless countries. This evening, listening to one of his albums in the Canary Islands, in anticipation of sailing home to the Virgin Islands, I started googling to find out how his career had progressed…
I cannot convey my grief and sadness upon discovery of his passing. I had enjoyed many occasions attending Rob’s concerts in the VI, and would sometimes sail between St. Thomas, St. John, and St. Croix for the opportunity. Rob built up a strong following of fans throughout the islands and wherever Rob played the venues would be packed full to capacity with one and all having a wonderful time. Many fans would sing along, having already learned the words to Rob’s songs. When Rob left the islands to go on tour with Hard Rock Cafe, everyone was so excited for him, but also sad that we would have to await his return..
Rob was at home in the Virgin Islands with lots of friends and followers. Anyone that may have known him stateside should have seem him down in the islands, where he truly was much more than a “king for a day”. Sail on, Rob..

I knew Rob and Taj from my time on St. Croix. Rob was a talented musician, a friend, and a good man. He'll certainly be missed.
I enjoyed playing with you and calling you my friend. You’ll be missed
So sorry for the loss of Rob. His music was a big part of friendships and fun in Charleston. Many nights at the Dutch Deli listening to him and having fun! Rest easy brother.
“Lay down my dear brother, lay down and take your rest
Won't you lay your head upon your Savior's breast
I love you, but Jesus love you the best
And I bid you goodnight, goodnight, goodnight
And I bid you goodnight, goodnight, goodnight”
Dear Candie,
I was so very sorry to learn of your loss along with your friends at the City. Thinking of you and all your family. Mend well.

Rob and I became good friends when we both lived in Charleston South Carolina. I would never miss any of his shows and he always sang my favorite songs and I would just dance and dance and he would just laugh as he watched me dance and we got to go out for drinks every now and then and just became good friends I can't believe he's gone he will be sadly missed by everyone RIP Rob 😓💔😢
My cousin Rob is one of the greatest persons I’ve ever known. I was fortunate to see him as a son, brother, father, cousin and friend. He always touched everyone he was around. He was as talented as a musician as he was a person. I sat here last night listening to his music as if it were the first time I heard him play the guitar and sing. He will never be replaced and I will miss him greatly. Kelly Fesperman Hebb
A man with a beautiful love for his son. May they both rest in peace, as they have surely earned it.
