Ronald Connelly's Obituary
Ronald L. Connelly, 72, of Huntersville, NC, died December 10, 2014 at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House of Huntersville.
He was born on In Braddock, PA on May 28, 1942 and was the son of the late John and Mary Catherine Connelly. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerimiah Connelly, Thomas Connelly, John F. Connelly and Arthur Elliott; sisters, Mary (Elliott) Smith and Emma Jane (Elliott) Ignacic.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne Connelly and son William (Bill) Connelly and wife Susan; granddaughters Cassandra and Brooke Connelly; brother, Edward Connelly of Colorado Springs, CO; sisters, Marilyn (Connelly) Keene of Valencia, PA and Catherine (Connelly) Chavez of Albuquerque, NM.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from United States Steel in Duquesne, PA and Gerdau Steel in Charlotte, NC. He presently volunteered as a ranger for Renaissance Park Golf Course in Charlotte, NC.
A Funeral Mass to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at 11:00 AM, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Huntersville. Burial will be private at Northlake Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 15, 2014, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at funeral home. A Prayer Service will be held during the visitation.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society for research for Pancreatic Cancer.
