I am at a loss of words. Derek was always so quick witted and jovial. He has played a monumental part in my life and for this I am thankful.

~Romans 14:8: “If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.” John 16:22: “So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.”

Growing up, my family and I were very close with all of my cousins, and we often vacationed together, including aunts, uncles, cousins, and parents. These shared experiences hold some of my most cherished memories. Even now, I can almost hear his laughter when I close my eyes. It brings me comfort to know that he was welcomed with laughter and hugs by his family who now reside in heaven.
