Samuel Fuller's Obituary
Samuel Kohler Fuller, a longtime resident of Charlotte and Huntersville went home to be with the Lord, Jesus Christ peacefully on August 9th at his home surrounded by his family.
Born July 17th 1937, to Samuel C. Fuller and Evelyn Fuller and raised between Los Angeles, CA and New York City. He graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science. He was a distinguished member of the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity.
In 1968, he married the love of his life, Betty Ann Russell of Charlotte, NC. Their love story spanned 56 years. Together, they raised three children.
Upon graduation, Sam’s career took him to California, Las Vegas, Chicago, New York, Nashville, Atlanta and ultimately Charlotte, where he called home. Sam retired in Huntersville in 2005.
Sam’s career in media and broadcast television encompassed more than five decades. He worked at WBTV, WCCB, King World Productions, PCA, and Tribune Entertainment, where he held several executive sales management positions and was known for his lifelong client relationships.
Sam was a man who served the lord and loved giving back to his community. Over many years Sam coached youth football, served on the board of directors at Historic Rural Hill, a deacon at Bethel Presbyterian Church and Hillsboro Presbyterian Churches, and served as President of the Charlotte Ad Club.
Sam was a man who was truly larger than life. Sam’s love of cooking, weekly golf outings, love of Scottish heritage, traveling, piano playing and entertaining fueled his many passions and enduring friendships. His incredible sense of humor served as a welcome to his hundreds of friends and loving family living across the country.
Sam is survived by his wife Betty Fuller, children, Samuel Kenneth Fuller, Theresa Fuller Harden, and Micah Lee Fuller (Sandy). He loved his five grandchildren Chantelle Fuller, Vance Harden II (Emma), Colby Harden (Nicole), Samuel Kyle Fuller (Megan), Caroline Fuller, as well as two great grandchildren, Marley Harden, and Axel Fuller.

The family wishes to thank the many friends and family who cared for Sam as well as members from caregivers and hospice.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2PM Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Bethel Presbyterian Church.
