I am sorry for your loss, Piper family! I knew Steve in the golden olden days back in Michigan City, Indiana. We even worked together on the night shift at Arno Tape (Dr. Scholl's). Steve was a great guy and a great athlete! He always seemed very mature in his thinking and had a good head on his shoulders. May God bless his whole family!

I have many fond memories of Cousin Steve but the one that comes to mind first was when a group of us went to Chicago on the South Shore Railroad and the L train/subway to see the Cubs (everyone knows of Steve’s love for sports). Well, long story short, one of our crew got on a train going the wrong direction after the game, we missed our return train and had to stay in Chicago until the next and only train at 10:00pm. Most everything was closed after 5:00pm. Steve was sooooo mad (LOL) but we eventually made our way to Rush St. and had a good time together before returning to MC. I’m pretty sure he’d have a good chuckle thinking about it today. RIP.
These pictures are only a small representation of how amazing you were dad, and I was NOT ready to lose out on a chance to capture more amazing memories.
I wasn’t ready for any of this and I am broken. I find little comfort in anything other than only good memories could make you hurt this bad. So thank you. Thank you for giving me and my babies memories to hurt over, to look back on and crack a smile even for a moment.
I am lost and my life will never be the same but you have given me everything and I will spend the rest of my life trying to make you proud. Please watch over me and my babies! I love and miss you so much!!
