Susan Jane Southern Stewart, 72, of Cornelius went to be with the Lord on May 16, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on July 15, 1943 in Stokes County, NC to the late Hilary and Sara Lee Southern. Mrs. Stewart Read Obituary

Susan has been one of my dearest friends since 1996 when her 3rd grade classroom was across the hall from my office at SouthLake Christian Academy. Along with Frances Hampton and Barbara Graham we shared years of hilarious times together. Susan loved to joke and laugh and make others laugh. My friendship with Susan has been one of the most special I have every known and I will always love and miss her. Bill, Chip and family, may God give you strength and loving comfort to bear this loss, as only He can do. Isaiah 41:10.
I am sorry to hear of your loss. May you find comfort in the promises at Revelation 21:4 that reads; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more. Neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things has passed away." The Bible gives us hope that one day our dead loved ones will be brought back to life.
