Thad Reames' Obituary
Thad Coleman Reames, Sr., 86 of Charlotte died November 26, 2020 due to complications from the Covid-19 virus. He was born on October 14, 1934 in Mecklenburg County to the late Coleman and Addie Mae Auten Reames.
Thad was born on Reames Road in Charlotte and had a true love for farming. He had his first cow at 8 years old and never gave up his love of livestock. Thad truly enjoyed trading livestock of all kinds. He also loved going to his farm in Anson County and attending livestock auctions on a regular basis. He retired from McLean Trucking Company and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Carolyn Black Reames; sons, Thad, Jr. and wife Patti of Huntersville, Bill and wife Carolyn of Belmont, Ronny and wife Cindy of Stanfield, Randy and wife Cyndi of Danville; VA; daughters, Pam Shirley of Locust and Sue Lilly and husband Greg of Denver; sisters, Virginia Long and husband Charles and Ella Mae Stewart; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.
A graveside service will be held at 3 PM Saturday, November 28 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Jimmy Howard officiating.
