Thomas Parker's Obituary
Mr. Thomas Parker, 77, of Hendersonville and recently Charlotte, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017.
Tom was a native of Youngstown, Ohio and moved to North Carolina, after living in Florida for 30 years, to work for Dean Witter. He retired from financial advising at Wells Fargo five years ago. He was a member of First Baptist of Hendersonville, NC. Tom’s greatest love and priority was his four children. His favorite past time was cooking, even creating a family guarded secret recipe cookbook. He was a wood worker, making many pieces of furniture from scratch. He could fix anything you asked him to, handyman to say the least. His neighbors always boasted about his perfect lawn, which he took great pride in. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Frances Parker, and a brother, Richard Parker.
Mr. Parker is survived by his wife, Nancy of 22 years, their children; Lisa Middleton of Port St. Lucie, FL, Lori Elliott of Jupiter, FL, Jamie Parker of Jupiter, FL and Lauren (Mann) Scott of Charlotte, NC, grandchildren; Madison, Brigette, Parker, Robert George; brother, Roland Parker of Akron, OH and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, June 24th at 2:00 pm at First Baptist (312 5th Ave West Hendersonville, NC 28739).
