My deepest condolences to all of you. I have such fond memories of Uncle Tom. He always made me feel special. I can remember him being so proud of me - that I could "hang with the boys and play softball, even though I was a little girl". He taught me how to ride the waves in Ocean City, and I was so proud. He took me way out in the water, but I always felt safe. A small, but memorable part of my childhood. Uncle Tom made me feel important, and for that, I will always be grateful. Mr. T always had a big smile and a warm hug whenever I saw him. He and Norma welcomed me into their home countless times with genuine warmth and affection. His love for his family was amazingly evident. He was a sweet, sincere, loving man. We were blessed to be part of your extended family. My heart aches for all of you for the tremendous loss of a great man. I can see him sharing that huge smile and bear hug with Sophia now. Sending you all my love.❤️

Tom was always kind. I met him when Matt and Carri were married and our families blended. I know that Sophia is dancing with joy to have her Grandpa now. He will be missed. Sending loving prayers to the family. You are all in our hearts.

I met Tom through Scott and Fanny, attending Ben and Jillian’s sports events. He was indeed a family man, and loved to talk about his grandkids. Having known Scott for several years, it’s evident Tom was a wonderful dad and mentor. Christ’s comfort and blessing to the entire Tyburski family from the Emerts.

Tom and I attended junior high school in New Britain Ct 7th 8th then our families move on we eventually ended up at Berlin HS ,we played football, basketball together and hung out at party, dates , just wonderful times together. After we graduated from HS we with three other guy dove down to Florida for a great time. We both had offers for football at a couple colleges and tom went off to college in Massachusetts and I went in the Navy We stayed in touch, golf, HS reunions, and when he came back to Connecticut We were the best of friends forever. Last week before he went to the hospital his last words to me was I love you jI'm and I said the same to him. I now think he sensed in some way that we wouldn't be taking again it's hard to express how sad I feel and how much I will miss him Jim Newman

Tom was a good friend to me and took an interest in my grandson. They fished together until he and Norma moved to North Carolina. What a terrific mentor for a young man to have.
