Thomas Stanley Tyburski's Obituary
Denver--Thomas Stanley Tyburski, of 989 Pinkney Place Stanley NC, passed away on May 16, 2020 at the age of 80.
Tom was born on June 29, 1939 in New Britain Ct. and was the only son of his loving parents Stanley and Helen Tyburski. He graduated from Berlin HS in 1957 and was a proud member of the State Champion Football team. He declined a football scholarship offer from UConn to attend Northeastern University in Boston where he graduated in 1961. After graduation, Tom served in the US Navy before beginning his career with the Dept. of Labor working with early computers as a Data Analyst for OSHA in Washington D.C.
Tom met the love of his life, Norma Jean Miles, in October of 1961 and the two were married just three months later, a marriage which lasted a remarkable 58 years.
He was a loving father to his three sons, Mark, Scott and Matthew, and to their wives, Susan, Fanny and Carri. He counted his five grandchildren, Kendahl, Lauren, Jillian, Sophia and Ben among his greatest blessings. He loved them all deeply and was very proud of each of them.
He made many friends over the years, and enjoyed fishing and golfing with his buddies in Crofton, Md; Fredericksburg, Va, the Delaware shore, and his final home in N.C.
Tom endured more than his share of health challenges and was a fighter until the very end. In the end, he recalled his many blessings with gratitude, including the special love of his dearest companion and wife, as well as the family and friends who provided him with many happy times and wonderful memories.
His wife and family are comforted to know that his suffering has been relieved and that he is reunited with the loved ones who have passed before him.
A burial service (immediate family only) is scheduled for Thursday May 28th, and a memorial gathering for extended family and friends will be forth coming.
His wife suggests donations to St. Jude in lieu of flowers, and the family appreciates all prayers in this time of our loss. He will be missed.
James Funeral Home of Huntersville is serving the family.
