Tina McNeely Williams' Obituary
Martha Ann Williams, affectionately known as Tina was born on December 19, 1963 to Cinclair and Annie Whitley. A native of Charlotte, NC she spent her youth cheering, serving in church and making lasting memories with her six siblings and neighborhood friends.
On June 23, 1984 Tina wed Darnell Williams and they built a life together raising their three daughters Shassidy Whitley-Austin (Antoine), Shanell Keah(Lawrence) and Shamika Williams (Tomas). Over the years they enjoyed family vacations, graduations, weddings and births. To know her she was Tina, you were blessed to be able to call her “Ma or Mama”, but you were spoiled if you were able to call her “Grandma Tina” or “TeeTee”, and that’s exactly what her 8 grandchildren: Dajah, Jada, Jasmyn, Malia, Kingston, Kamden, Roman and Lincoln were; spoiling her grandchildren was her number one hobby.
She found great joy in being a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, auntie-nana and friend to many. She never met a stranger and when you encountered her you would never forget her. She spoke her mind regardless of if you liked it or not. Her spunky attitude and sass kept you on edge. No matter how she felt physically “TeeTee” always had time and energy for her grandbabies. They were her world, and she was their real-life super hero.
On December 3, 2022 Tina passed away at home surrounded by family. There to welcome her to her heavenly home was her father Cinclair, sister-Priscilla, brothers- Johnny and Charles and her beloved chihuahua Coco. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, mother, daughters, grandchildren, remaining siblings- Rosa Burris (Johnny), Mae Hamit (Reginald) and Waddell McNeely (Alice), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family thanks you for your prayers and kind words during this time.
