So saddened to learn about Toni today. Grew up living behing the Swearngans on Bancroft St. so long ago. Deepest condolences to all of Toni;s family.
A special memory I have of Toni is when Peg and I went to Roddy and Karen's house to see Toni. Just like Toni, I also play the piano by ear. I asked Toni if she wanted to play the piano with me. I started playing and she remembered how to play. She could pick up on what I was playing and I would pick up what she wanted to play. It was wonderful seeing her smile and seeing the joy it brought to her. It was a special time with her. My deepest sympathy, Retta Rice.
Mamimi was such the sweetest soul and I will always remember her because she gave me gum and chocolate swirls. She was so cool to me because she knew how to play the piano so well! I send my dearest condolences and love.
