Toni Oxidine's Obituary
Toni Jean Swearngan Oxidine, 81, of Mooresville died August 10, 2025 after a long battle with dementia. She was born on March 25, 1944 in Long Beach, CA to the late Nalle and Jean Swearngan.
Toni was a devoted wife, loving mother and adored grandmother (Mamimi). She loved being at all of her children's and grandchildren's sporting events, rarely missing a game or dance competition. She was multi-talented, played the piano by ear, sang, sewed and knitted beautiful sweaters. She worked as a secretary for Belk Store Services for many years and retired as a NC Realtor. She was A member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. Toni is well known for her sweet and gentle nature; she was loved by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years Roger McKever Oxidine, Sr., sister Debbie Yandle and daughter-in-law, Lisa Oxidine.
Survivors include her sons, Roddy Oxidine and wife Karen of Mooresville, Randy Oxidine and wife Jamie of Denver and Matt Oxidine of Cornelius; daughter, Angie Robinette and husband Clay of Cornelius; siblings, Peggy, Pam, Sarah and Robert. Grandchildren Carol Ann, Kristen, Gavin, Griffin, Greyson, Anna, McKever, Liza, Eva and Ella Todd and 7 great-grandchildren.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 3 PM Sunday, August 17 at Mt. Zion U.M.C. in Cornelius. Visitation will be 2-3 prior. Burial will be private at Hopewell Presbyterian in Huntersville.
